Dear God

My Little Way

I may not be perfect

I may not be the best

I may not achieve as much

As all the rest

But, God, there are some things

I want to offer up to you

To shape my life

And the things that I do.

In your name I will seek

Perception in the little things;

To notice when a hand is needed

To offer the comfort a kind word brings;

I will be content with simplicity

And in the ordinary find joy

I will look deeper for the miracles

Each moment can employ.

I will love you my God

Every moment of every day

I will strive to love my neighbor well

And myself in the same way.

And though I am weak and flawed

When all is said and done

I will have faith I am enough

Through Jesus Christ, your son.
