Kittens!

12:44pm
This morning Paula (Dad’s cousin who I’m boarding with), Anna (who arrived last night and is visitign for the weekend) and I went to look at Burmese kittens … and I choose a little boy and put $100 deposit down!
I've been thinking about how much I'd love a kitten and researching different breeds for ages now, and had contacted a burmese breeder earlier in the week.  I did go to the SPCA and Cat Protection Society to look for a cat, but there wasn't anything quite right there.  I feel bad not getting a cat from one of those places, but Burmese cats seem so lovely ... I have to wait 8 weeks until I can have him though!  Will be counting down the days!  He’s 4 weeks old at the moment.  Will have to think of a name …
He costs $650 altogether and will come vet checked, flead, wormed, with one vaccination (I’ll need to get the second one done), NZ Fancy Cat registered with pedigree certificate, de-sexed and litter trained.  He is ‘lilac’ coloured.  The parents are both healthy.  He isn’t microchipped unfortunately, but that’s ok.  So hurry up October 7th!!!  I’ll visit him in a few weeks time.

I know my Mum and William (my boyfriend) think it’s a bad idea because they think I need to be an inpatient, but I am not going to be an inpatient and I think this is the best chance I’ve got to get out of this.  To have something depending on me – something I have to live for.  I've been feeling so low at hopeless and worthless - even more so lately - and I don't know what to do anymore.  I hope this will give me the lift I need ...
Apparently burmese are so affectionate (especially the boys) and they bond with their owner (‘mother’) to the extent that they follow you all over the house, sleep with you, go in the car with you … etc!

Here is my little guy ...
